Porn Employee Stabs 3, Kills 1

VAN NUYS, Calif.—Los Angeles police are still searching for a Canoga Park man they say used a machete to stab three co-workers, killing one.

The stabbings reportedly happened at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 1. Few details were immediately available about the investigation, but officials reported that 30-year-old Steven Hill—a web designer at an adult company identified as Ultima DVD at 7625 Hayvenhurst Ave., near the intersection with Saticoy near the Van Nuys airport—used a machete-type weapon to stab a co-worker after he was asked to leave the building. The exact company was not immediately clear. Hill reportedly used the stage name Steve Driver.

Initial reports from news station KTLA are that Hill, whom police said had a Canoga Park address but had been living in the company building, had been told he was not being fired but would need to cease living in the building by Tuesday. Investigators said Hill had not displayed any violent behavior prior to the incident, when he grabbed the weapon and stabbed a co-worker. Two others in the building came to assist the first victim, and Hill stabbed them as well, reports stated. One of the victims died from injuries sustained. Names, gender, and ages of the victims were not immediately available.

Police said Hill then fled the area in a 1995 blue RAV 4 with the California license plate 5YTC423. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact LAPD at (818) 374-7611.
