Police Shut Down Strip Show at Men's Club

Police broke up a men’s club meeting when exotic dancers began performing, citing the organization for not having proper permits.

Police appeared at the quarterly meeting of the International Order of Old Bastards at the Eastside Businessman’s Association recently when dancers began dancing, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.

Richard Story, leader of the group who holds the title of Arch Old Bastard, told the newspaper that police closed down the meeting and warned him that his group needed an adult entertainment permit for the dancers.

Story said the club had scheduled three or four dancers to dance and strip naked and then mingle in the aisles, but were not permitted to touch patrons.

Sue Richmond, 54, said she provides the dancers to the group through her business, exotic-dancers.com. Richmond had been a dancer for the organization beginning in 1972. She added that her strippers earn about $150 each, plus tips for dancing for two hours at the club.

The club was founded in 1945 by Fred Kibbe, an American soldier who was stationed in Australia who was said to be inspired by the Australian greeting, “Hi, you old bastard."

The group has a total membership of about 1 million in 4,600 chapters around the world.
