Playboy.com Punks It Up With SuicideGirls

Playboy.com and SuicideGirls.com have partnered to feature a new SuicideGirl on Playboy's Website every week, as well as offering SuicideGirls merchandise at PlayboyStore.com.

"Playboy.com now exclusively features a different SuicideGirl punk pin-up on the home page and a full nude photo set in the Playboy Cyber Club every week," Playboy announced Feb. 13. "Missy Suicide, SuicideGirls' founder and chief photographer, chooses the female empowered, tattooed and pierced beauties for each feature," the announcement continued.

Playboy.com president Randy Nicolau said in an announcement that, since they're always looking for fresh, unique content, SuicideGirls were compelling and on the cultural cutting edge. "These are sassy girls who you might see at a cool underground music show or at a political protest," he continued. "Playboy appreciates beauty in all its different forms, and we've loved the SuicideGirls from afar for quite some time. We're thrilled to finally bring them to Playboy.com fans and to be able to offer their extensive established fan base with entertaining content and e-commerce options."

Missy Suicide said SuicideGirls owed a lot of their success to Playboy's "pioneering spirit… so it is particularly meaningful that Playboy.com is recognizing our revisionist approach to contemporary sensuality. Just as Playboy captured the spirit of its generation, SuicideGirls has caught the attention of ours. Our goal is to develop a brand that is as lasting as Playboy."
