Playboy Takes a Look at the Hedgehog at Fifty

Wearing leather pants and carrying a Schwarzenegger-sized gun, an unabashedly shirtless Ron Jeremy takes a slow motion stroll away from the finale of the mainstream action movie he never got to make in a photo taken as part of a Playboy feature article celebrating the Hedgehog at the age of 50.

Ron Jeremy: Action Hero

The nine-page article in the November issue of Playboy, now on newsstands, offers a recap of Jeremy’s career and life, with photos going back to high school and following him through the last two decades of life. The article even covers Jeremy’s discovery that he could blow himself while at Boy Scout camp at the age of fifteen.

The article focuses on Jeremy’s cult-like celebrity and his fascination, maybe even obsession, with mainstream celebrities (Richard Pryor, Billy Joel and Sheryl Crow are listed as fans) and of course, his turning 50.

“Turning 50 was very depressing and I still haven’t quite gotten over it, “ he says, going on to admit that it’s harder to achieve an erection – though he still can. He also admits he is down to having a sex scene every other month, but feels healthy in general (his cholesterol is fine, though his blood pressure is up).

Playboy follows him on a date with Dalny Marga, who wants him to get her work at Metro, as Jeremy drives around Hollywood. The article notes that Jeremy gets comped the whole way, and is recognized by both men and women everywhere he goes.

Jeremy is as interested as ever in mainstream success, but has started looking at other options for expanding his immortality – he expresses an interest in having kids, possibly with his Natalie, his 26-year-old girlfriend of three years.
