Platinum Media to Release Mary Carey's First Shoot

Platinum Media dusted off some old tape and announced today that they will include footage of starlet Mary Carey's very first time on camera in their upcoming release Before They Were Porn Stars.

Working as an Amateur Stripper in a Florida Club, Carey was 19 years old when she met up with one of Platinum's videographers in a hotel room to do an impromptu solo shoot.

"We never even knew what we had until a customer pointed her out two years ago" said Mandi Michaels, production director for Platinum Media.

“We meet all kinds of down to earth girls who want to make a video for the fun of it and to earn a few bucks for college. Mary was just another model on our list, until we realized how blind we were on just what we had."

Platinum Media originally released the footage on DVD entitled So You Want to be a Star in 2001. "It was really a no-brainier," continued Michaels. "We looked at this material and just knew we had to do something new with it."

The 32-minute session includes a 10 minute interview where Carey talks about high school relationships, her first blowjob, her dream to get into cheerleading and dance. She also reveals her desire to get into the Adult business and fears her family seeing this shoot.

JB Evans, a director for Platinum added, "We totally forgot about this footage, but when we pulled out the tape and watched the original shoot 2 years ago, we kicked ourselves for not realizing who we had in front of our cameras.”

“Considering Ms. Carey's recent political announcement, we will surely endorse Mary's campaign to the fullest on the DVD." said Platinum's CEO Scott Morgan.

Slated to be released in late June, Before They Were Stars - Lost Treasures will also include Michaels, whose first film was nominated by AVN for best amateur series in 2006 and also features the first video performances of the new Mainstream star "Felicity.”
