Platinum eMedia, the folks behind PlatinumBucks.com announced the purchase of Pimp Café, a comprehensive resource site serving the Webmaster community for over three years. This acquisition adds to the Platiunum Bucks list of products and services that includes Discount Pass Bucks, Free Pass Bucks, Porno Junkies Board and, of course, Platinum Bucks.
"Platinum eMedia has been in contact with Pimp Café since their inception," project manager Stephanie Hickman told AVN.com. "They have been watching the impressive growth of Pimp Café for the past two years. It is a very sophisticated site, with many innovative features."
Pimp Café was launched in 2001 and has gathered a loyal following of more than 4,000 registered Webmasters. Pimp Café offers Webmasters a centralized place to find daily news, tools, and tips. It offers features such as Board Watch, a software system that allows you to scan all the latest threads without logging into each individual chat board. A new feature of the Board Watch is the notification feature whereby the Webmaster can be emailed when a match to their interested keyword topics is found in any thread of the chat boards.
"Our Service Directory listing is an advanced feature based on links in to the site, the more prominent the Pimp Café button is displayed on your site the higher your rank will be in the listing that fits your company/programs," Hickman noted. "We feel the feature offers a very fair result of traffic linking in from your site, which gives you a more prominent position and exposure."
Another free service they offer is the Search Engine Submitter, which will submit your site to 23 different search engines, while the Hot Link Detector software will check your site to ensure no one is hot linking to you and wasting your bandwidth.
"Our goals for 2004 are to increase traffic to Pimp Café along with increased recognition," Hickman said when asked what lies ahead for Platinum eMedia. "We also plan to continue giving Webmasters information and resources which benefit and enhance their marketing and strategic partnership efforts, a constant mission of our company."
