Pitbull Granted Fed Restraining Order

In an ongoing lawsuit, Pitbull Productions has secured a temporary restraining order against Universal NetMedia, Inc., owner of WhatsTea website. Issued by a federal District Court in New York, the restraining order prohibits illegal postings of Pitbull Productions' intellectual property.

Pitbull is a multimedia production company with more than 40 titles serving the black and Latino gay adult markets with exclusive video lines such as Thugporn and Tiger Tyson DVDs.

According to a Pitbull press release announcing the restraining order, the lawsuit is to stop Florida-based NetMedia "from continuing to encourage, enable and profit from the infringement of Pitbull Productions, Inc., copyrights, trademarks and trade" on the Internet.

The press release continued that if "the defendants do not comply with this temporary restraining order they will be in contempt of court and Pitbull Productions, Inc., will pursue all sanctions and remedies available under the law."
