Phoenix Rising: Notes From The Phoenix Forum

The sixth Phoenix Forum was in full swing Friday afternoon at the Tempe Mission Palms hotel where the three-day networking conference is expected to host 900-plus webmasters.

The gathering, now managed for the fifth year by CCBill, features various industry parties, networking opportunities, and seminars on billing solutions, building traffic, higher conversions, content distribution, gay website marketing, and a state of the industry panel, among others.

Premium sponsors of the event include LightspeedCash, SexKey, Silvercash, XXXCash, Traffic Cash Gold, and Platinum sponsors Pluginfeeds.com, Amateur Straight Guys, NationalNet, and Epoch.

“It’s a great networking opportunity that allows us to be introduced to a vertical that’s always expanding and exciting,” Ami Desai, account executive for Ultra DNS, told AVNOnline.com. “We think we provide a service that can benefit the industry, and that’s why we’re here.”

The weekend kicked off with the Lightspeed Dodgeball Tournament followed by the Forum Welcome Reception Thursday evening, where hundreds of webmasters gathered to catch up, talk business, and press the flesh.

Other highlights from Thursday night included the XXXBash (sponsored by XXXCash) and the Gay After Hours party (brought to you by Mansites and PrideBucks).

By Friday afternoon the attendance had swelled. “It’s a very successful turnout,” Jonathan Silverstein of TheContentStore.com told AVNOnline.com. “There’s a lot of great people here, and I’m seeing business done all day long.”

Silverstein went on, “These smaller shows are really conducive to getting to know perspective clients.”

But by the looks of it, The Phoenix Forum is turning out to be anything but a “small” show.
