The keynote speech at the 2005 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo will be delivered by Phil Harvey, the founder and president of Adam & Eve.
The AVN Adult Entertainment Expo will take place January 6-9, 2005 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
Harvey will deliver the keynote speech at 9:30 a.m. on the opening day of the show. Harvey will discuss his views on the state of the Adult industry today, and how he thinks it will change over the next few years.
“We are honored to have Phil Harvey deliver the keynote address at the 2005 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo,” said show spokesperson Carrie Dieterich. “His 30 years of experience in the industry and his contributions to global sexual education and health is unparalleled.”
The manner in which Harvey entered the Adult industry is legend – the $90 million empire known today as Adam & Eve started as a master’s thesis in family planning administration at UNC-Chapel Hill back in 1969. He decided to create a mail order catalog for condoms, using a portion of the profits to fund family planning programs oversees.
Today, Harvey divides his time between Adam & Eve, located in Hillsborough, North Carolina, and DKT International, his not-for-proft organization located in Washington, DC. DTK International is dedicated to providing family planning, health care, and sex education materials to eight third-world countries in Asia, Africa, and South America.
Prior to December 17, 2004, trade registration for the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo will cost $60. Following the December 17 deadline, trade registration will cost $80. VSDA members will receive a $25 rebate on their registration fees.
