Penthouse Hires Playboy’s Lindquist

Penthouse Media Group Inc., the parent company of Penthouse Magazine, recently named Doug Lindquist managing director of its International Television and Mobile Video Group. Lindquist, who is responsible for developing and strategizing the international television and mobile telephone business for the Penthouse Broadcast Network – which is anticipated to launch in the summer of 2006 – will report directly to Penthouse President of Licensing Mark Rudolph.

Lindquist will prospect clients and affiliates and will manage all operational aspects of the upcoming broadcast and mobile business. Additionally, he will act as a coordinating liaison between the various Penthouse platforms, which include licensing, Internet, entertainment, and publishing.

Lindquist joins Penthouse from the Playboy Entertainment Group Inc., where he was an 11-year veteran of the company. He most recently served as senior vice president of business development for the company’s International Television Division. Prior to Playboy, Lindquist was with Fox Inc.-News Datacom Inc. as senior vice president of sales and marketing. He has lived and worked abroad, and has held executive positions with Echostar Corporation, General Instrument Corporation, and Oak Industries Inc.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Lindquist received a bachelor’s in business administration with emphases in advertising and psychology and a master of business administration in marketing.

“With almost 30 years of experience under his belt, Doug is an authority on pay television and we’re happy to have him on board,” says Penthouse Chief Executive Officer Marc H. Bell. “Our multimedia platforms are continually expanding, and with Doug’s knowledge and proficiency, we will further position ourselves in the marketplace.”

Lindquist adds, “Penthouse is soon to be a viable component and competitor in both the national and international broadcast markets, and I feel honored that I’ll be playing a role in the rebirth of the Penthouse brand.”

Working closely with President of Entertainment Jim English, Lindquist will be based in the new Penthouse Studio offices in Los Angeles. He will attend the upcoming April MIP-TV show in Cannes, France, where Penthouse will host a suite at the Cannes Majestic Barriere hotel. After that he will attend the NCTA Show in Atlanta, Ga., where Penthouse TV will exhibit for the first time.
