Penthouse Digital Releases Guy Capo's Smut Peddler

LOS ANGELES - Penthouse Digital Entertainment is set to release director Guy Capo's latest feature, Smut Peddler. The movie streets July 10 as part of the company's Penthouse Underground line.

"Penthouse Digital was the only company willing to let me make this film," said Capo. "It was a risk that nobody else wanted to take. Part of what makes Smut Peddler a great piece of work is the fact that there's not much set-up linking the scenes together and almost no dialogue at all. Yet, there is definitely an interconnected story happening, sans all of the filler. We've taken sex scenes that hit you in the face, and a higher message hidden in the delivery of the story."

Smut Peddler centers on the trial of a pornographer. Executive producer Kelly Holland described the movie as "a commentary on the hypocrisy of the mainstream position on pornography, and the reality that almost everyone watches pornography and is pornographic in their own private way. Porn seems to be more prevalent in societies and groups that repress themselves; you seeing it coming out in these repressive, conservative environments."

Capo, who has worked in the adult industry since 2003, has also directed a number of titles for DVSX and Evolution Erotica. He began directing big-budget shows for Penthouse with Club Sluts.

Holland, a 13-year veteran of mainstream and adult filmmaking, calls Smut Peddler "the best piece of work Capo has done, both visually as an editor, and in the delivery he received from the talent as a director."

"If you're looking for filthy hardcore with style and high production value, without all unnecessary fodder, this is the movie," continued Capo. "The scenes are stylized; the action is intense but beautiful. This would be a perfect introduction to the world of adult film for an apprehensive wife or girlfriend, yet it gets right to the action for the husbands and boyfriends."

Smut Peddler stars Bree Olson, Riley Evans, Adrianna Anelise, Gianna Lynn, Denice K, Renae Cruz, John Esposido, Jeremy Holmes, Johnny Castle, Voodoo, Dick Nasty and Nick Manning.
