Paying Their Way

Sometimes flattery WILL get you what you want.

Take the guys at nAccess Ltd., for example. They’re new to the industry, and the first words out of their mouths when I visited their booth were, “We love your magazine! It’s been invaluable in helping us keep up with everything we need to know. We only get two copies, so we’ve been FedEx-ing them to each other across the country.”

Guys, stop by the AVN Online booth on the show floor and sign up every member of your staff, if you want. Each person can have his or her own copy mailed on our dime. Really.

NAccess is an alternative payment company based in New York. It’s exhibiting its inaugural product, nAccessCard, pre-rollout at the show. The prepaid access card, which works similarly to a prepaid phone card, will be available at retail outlets like convenience stores, newsstands, and adult stores beginning June 1 for $30. Webmasters can cash in by signing up to accept the card on their sites.

“It’s almost like free money,” said company president Adam Tillis, noting that the nAccess card doesn’t conflict with other payment methods. Instead, the nAccess portal at www.naccesscard.com provides a list of all participating Websites, thereby channeling surfers who otherwise might never visit. Participating Webmasters are paid for card redemptions every two weeks.
