Paris Buys 1 Night in Paris

Paris Hilton was reportedly spotted buying a copy of 1 Night in Paris, the infamous video of Hilton and then-boyfriend Rick Salomon having sex, that hit the Internet running but became an immediate subject of a legal tug-of-war. The BILD, a German tabloid, published a photograph last Thursday of Hilton buying a copy.

"While many people initially called the photo a fake, I have an acquaintance who spoke to Hilton and asked her if the photo was real," said Kevin Blatt, spokesman for Red Light District Video, which has released the tape. "Her reply was, 'Yes, I am so busted.'"

The photograph in question shows a trim blonde in a light, blue-green striped tank top and miniskirt holding up a copy of the video.

“If Paris wanted a video, all she had to do was ask," Blatt said. "We would have loved to have sent her a promotional screener before her Letterman appearance. I know she was on a fixed income during her TV show, The Simple Life 2, and I hope the $40 dollar price tag didn’t break her.”

The 62-minute video, available from Red Light District, includes bonus material as well as the original 38-minute romp between Hilton and Salomon. Red Light said they have sold over 280,000 copies in the first two weeks of the video's retail release.
