Paladin to Distribute Adonis Pictures

Adonis Pictures has announced that gay distributor Paladin Video will now take on all of its U.S. distribution, effective on Saturday.

Adonis, founded in late 2004 by Jeremy Spencer and business partner Billy Hudson, has produced three features this year with a fourth set for October release.

"We are really thrilled to be coming on board with Paladin,” Spencer said. “Being part of a group of such incredibly talented people, many of whom I have been a fan of for many years, is almost surreal. From COLT and Bel Ami to Hot House and Studio 2000 to Kristen Bjorn and MSR, Paladin distributes only the highest-end product and we are humbled to be associated with such amazing companies.”

"I had heard of Paladin long before I even got into the industry,” Hudson commented. “I knew that the Paladin name had a lot of history and this is the best thing that could have happened to Adonis. We are incredibly excited to grow as a company with Paladin in our corner.”

Stan Loeb, owner of Paladin Video, said, “We are very pleased that Adonis has joined the family of companies that are distributed by Paladin. They’re the new kids on the block and we look forward to a long and happy future with them.”

The first movie that Paladin will represent is Adonis’ Michael Zen-directed vampire movie, Thirst, starring Rod Barry and Adonis exclusive Andy Kirra. Thirst will release on October 28, 2005, in time for Halloween.

Paladin will also carry Adonis’ three previous titles — Running Wild, Lust Counseling, and Bed Heads — as well as its new Mike Donner film, Star Crossed, which will release in November.
