PRIVATE'S NET SALES JUMP ALMOST 200%

Adult video and entertainment giant Private Media Group says its Internet sales for the third quarter of 1999 jumped over the same quarter in 1998, as did its operating profit margin.

"Privateā€¦is the face of adult entertainment for the new millennium," says chief executive officer Berth Milton, announcing the company's 178 percent Internet sales jump and 23 percent a month increase in operating profit.

Private says total Internet sales in the third quarter of 1999 were $538,000, compared to the third quarter 1998 total of $193,000. The first nine months of 1999 showed Private with total Net sales of $1,194,000, including new subscriptions, mail order, and royalty income from licensed sites - a huge jump over the first nine months of 1998, which showed $472,000. Private's online sales have bolted 431 percent over the first nine months of 1997, which brought the company $225,000.

Private's entire line of entertainment - adult videos and DVDs, magazines, novelties, and licensed fashions - is sold online as well as offline.

"These increases are only the beginning," Milton says. "Private Media Group's development will continue apace with further diversification of our product and service portfolio. In particular, we are looking to Broadband Internet and television broadcasting being yet more highly profitable channels for the utilization of our huge, constantly updated adult entertainment archive.

"I ask you this: is there any other adult entertainment company in the world that can claim to have a total adult lifestyle portfolio of products and services available through so many channels of communication, from the traditional to those of the 21st century? The answer is clear: No."
