PRIVATE'S HOME SHOP EXPANDS ON DANISH TV

Private Media's TV Shop extends to six nights a week on Danish televisioin, including a completely new concept called Private Night every weekend. The new concept premiered Nov. 5.

With Private Shop going past initial projections five nights a week, Private figures it makes a natural next step to go six nights. The program was gaining an average $1,050 net profit per show, according to PRNewswire.

Now, the current Private Shop will air Monday through Wednesday and also be incorporated into a four-hour Private Night show Friday through Sunday, including stories behind the scenes on Private films, viewer competitions, an in-studio sex therapist, and TV Shop segments.

"We are now aiming for 10 percent of (TV Copenhagen's) 1.65 million total audience because (Private Night) will be aired on weekend nights with a much longer program duration and with a lot of different segments to maintain viewer interest," says producer Claus Sorensen.
