An erotic art exposition, an erotic art contest, and of course plentiful erotic film highlight the seventh International Barcelona Erotic Film Festival, set for November 24-28 at the fairplace La Farga.
Numerous film performers will appear in person to greet and sign for visitors, and festival organizers say the public will also be invited to assist with openings for films competing in the festival's Official Section. These films will be shown in various Barcelona cinemas, which will also feature those films chosen for the retrospectives.
Festival director Jose Ma Ponce has left that job "for personal reasons," organizers say, but he will still serve as one of the assessors. The new director will be revealed "soon," organizers say.
The Erotic Art Exposition will be dedicated to erotic photography, with some of the top international erotic photographers slated to appear at the festival. Xaro Castella is the exposition coordinator.
And, the IV Josep Blanc Erotic Art Contest will feature pieces displayed during the festival at the Mostra d'Art exhibit space.
Last year's festival attracted 22,000 visitors, and organizers say they expect a somewhat larger turnout of both exhibitors and visitors alike.
