A golf tournament offering a penis enlargement for the longest drive (we're not making this up, folks) has Australian doctors aroused…to condemnation. And the tournament organizers were already under the gun for offering a breast enlargement for the champion woman player.
Over 120 people have entered the tournament at Queensland's Sanctuary Cove, organized by cosmetic surgery group Clinical Beauty, says Reuters. But Professor Donald Marshall of the Royal College of Australian Surgeons says the competition trivilaized cosmetic surgery, and consumers need to know even cosmetic surgery has real risks and complication potential.
Never mind, say Queensland government ministers - they have already ordered the state's Office of Gaming Regulations to put cosmetic surgery on the list of prohibited prizes for lotteries, raffles, and trade promotions.
