Oriental Dream Pictures, an American adult production company specializing in Japanese hardcore, is having a special catalog sale on 30 titles in order to introduce its product to a wider market.
Each title carries a special introductory price of $4 for either VHS or DVD, available to new distributors only. The sale will run through September 30.
“We believe this catalog pricing will encourage both new and old distributors to carry our line of videos,” general manager Bryce T. told AVN.com. “Our goal is to gain recognition in the Asian adult market as well as brand-name our product with consumers, video store owners and distributors.”
The Gardena-based studio, in business for five years, has amassed a library of 150 titles and produces six new releases each month.
“We have some lines with Asian-American women (Korean, Thai, Chinese),” Bryce said, “but 80 to 90 percent of our product is with Japanese actresses.”
Oriental Dream’s movies are shot in three locations — Europe, Japan and Porn Valley, USA. “Everything is hardcore and non-mosaic-ed,” he said.
The absence of mosaics or fuzz-blurs on insertion shots is unusual in Japanese hardcore. Since Oriental Dream is a U.S. company, however, their movies are not subject to Japanese regulations that the connection between penis and vagina be concealed in some manner.
“You can show the cumshot [in Japan], and you can show pubic hair, which is why a lot of Japanese girls aren’t shaved — so the viewer can see something.
“But we have no mosaics,” he emphasized. “Everything in our movies is uncensored.”
