Ordinance Changes In Works Before Jenna's Club

The notion of rewriting the adult business ordinance in Scottsdale had nothing to do with Jenna Jameson purchasing the Babe's adult cabaret, according to the public records obtained by the East Valley Tribune.

On December 12, 2005, the City Council unanimously approved an overhaul of the existing adult business ordinance, which included no total nudity at clubs and a requirement that strippers stay at least four feet from patrons when performing.

According to the newspaper, city lawmakers met on June 10, 2005 to start to toughen the ordinance. In August, Jameson and partners purchased Babe’s Cabaret, which is now Club Jenna.

The report said this undercuts Jameson's claim that the new regulations target her.
