The Cal State student who hit the Internet in search of funding to boost her bust has had the job done. Michel underwent the operation June 6 and has since raved about the results on her Website.
"My new boobs are awesome- I love them!" she chirped in a June 10 entry. "Today, I was looking in the mirror, and a tear of joy came to my eye."
Not to mention the sweet smell of recognition. Michel was featured in a story on Wired's Website as well as a CNN segment on the same day. But don't push just yet for photos of the "after," she advised.
"You really have to give this girl a chance to heal up first," she continued. "They look huge, but once the swelling goes down they should be just perfect."
According to her Website writings, she was just fine after returning home following the same-day surgical procedure, though she admitted to exhaustion and a little physical weakness. "I have brought the puppies home and can't wait to play with them," she wrote. "I was nervous all day (all week really) and still haven't gotten a good look at them yet cuz of the bandages. I would say I look like a hot busty mummy, but in actuality I feel like crap and just want to go back to sleep."
Michel raised over $4,500 by way of her Website for the operation, which she admitted at the time she was uncertain about, saying she'd do it if more people said she should than said she shouldn't.
"Please don't call me a 'shameless beggar,' 'cheap ho,' or 'gold-digging skank'," she insisted in a passage on the site at the time, explaining just why she went ahead with the Boob Fund. "I have lots of shame, I consider myself to be very expensive, and 'skank' is my favorite word. I have been working part-time since high schooland I have almost enough money to buy my own boobs right now, even without the 'boob fund.' But I want to know for sure what the world thinks, so I will let the world decide!"
Her site attracted attention from Maxim, the New York Times Online, and AVN Online, with whom she did an e-mail interview in April, saying she felt more comfortable that way. At this writing, she had yet to reply to a query for a follow-up interview.
"I asked the world to cast their votes hundreds put their money where their mouths were, and voted with their hard-earned cash," she told AVN Online at that time. "Thus, I will have bodacious boobs shortly."
"Shortly" turned out to be June 6.
