Keri Windsor & pro driver Ed Alexander finished the 1999 Michelin "One Lap of America" in style by winning the final event at Waterford Hills, Michigan and with that victory sealed a First Place finish in their class [Vintage Foreign - 1981 BMW] and 16th overall in the 1999 "One Lap of America" race.
Their 1st place finish in the final event allowed them to overtake the leader in their class, who was also the overall leader in points standing for the entire event. Engine problems prevented that entrant from participating in the final event but the strong showing by Ed on the track put them over the top.
They were presented with the first place trophy at the awards banquet on Saturday evening in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Keri returned to Los Angeles yesterday [with trophy...we think] and she will then present it to Bert Levesque & Chuck Zane of Zane Entertainment.
