LOS ANGELES - Outside the studio where director Jeff Mullen (aka Will Ryder) is shooting Not The Cosby Show XXX, Jaelyn Fox, Sarah Vandella and Lana Violet are passing their downtime in pajamas, relaxing across a handful of sofas lined up comfortably underneath a shady awning. Fox is snuggled up against Dick James, while Eric Swiss clowns around with the behind-the-scenes video camera, using it as a means to get the girls to show their tits — which leads to some good-natured groping.
Someone asks Vandella about her sex scene coming up. "I think it's with Dick James and Jaelyn," she replies. By this time, Fox has moved from snuggling into a lip lock.
"Hey there's no kissing in porno," a voice interjects.
"In mine there is," Vandella is quick to reply.
"Mine too," Fox adds.
Inside, Misty Stone, Tori Black and Tyler Knight are shooting dialogue. Stone plays daughter Denise Huxtable, Lisa Bonet's character, and Knight plays Theo, the Huxtables' son. Black plays Denise's friend Charmane. The action today revolves around an all-girl slumber party (hence all the pajamas) that gets crashed by Theo and his friends. Vandella will end up banging James, and Black will end up double-teamed by Knight by Jay Ashley.
When the dialogue wraps, Mullen steps outside to give his instructions on the upcoming sex scene between Vandella and James. He sits down next to Fox and as he delivers his instructions, Fox leans her head onto Mullen's lap. The conversation turns to Mullen fraternizing with the talent.
"It would be unprofessional for me to fraternize with the talent," Mullen remarks, then adds, "before 5 p.m."
Tori Black steps outside and her magnetic personality quickly takes over the conversation — which soon turns to Black's admission of how she learned she loved anal from the first time she tried it.
"Why would you want to stick it in something called the 'pooper'?" she asks, referring to how she felt before trying it. Black soon ends up with her tits out and her panties pulled down underneath her butt cheeks as she shakes it for the BTS camera.
When Misty Stone steps outside, it's clear she is the perfect choice to play Denise. She is almost a dead ringer for Bonet.
"Maybe I'm her long-lost daughter," Stone jokes. "[X-Play] definitely knows how to pick their characters."
But the role of Denise doesn't stop at looks.
"I've watched a lot of 'Cosby Show' episodes to prepare," Stone notes. "They gave me six or seven DVDs to watch, and I've probably gone over the script a hundred times."
"Misty Stone is right on the money," Mullen adds, "because not only is she beautiful and sexy, she's a really great actress as well. And to pull this off, we need great actors and actresses."
Black is a little more tongue-in-cheek when asked about her preparation for the movie. "I shaved my legs and put on deodorant," she quips, then adds, "Ever since I was two-years-old, this thing opened up and it's never stopped."
She points to her mouth and says, "Make sure you mention that I'm talking about my mouth, not my pussy."
Mullen put X-Play on the map when he joined forces with Hustler to release to Not The Bradys XXX and re-opened the spigot on the porno spoof genre, which hadn't seen this level of interest since the '80s. The formula has proven to be explosive, and X-Play now has a website devoted solely to its spoofs called Sitcums.com.
"This is our black 'Bradys'," notes Mullen. "I'm particularly proud that this is the first huge interracial feature I've shot. I'm happy to bring black people and white people together in sexual harmony.
"Not The Cosby Show XXX was our next logical movie to produce," Mullen continues. "Our next movie to be released is Not Three's Company XXX, which will be coming out the first Tuesday in March. We'll be debuting the trailers in January at the Hustler booth at the 2009 AEE."
Outside on the sofas, someone asks Black why she isn't wearing pajamas like the other girls.
"Because I look too cute in my panties!" Black quickly exclaims. After a moment, she adds, "Okay, I'm ready to have sex now."
But word is Vandella and James will be having sex prior to Black's three-way.
"Dammit," Black says as she walks back inside.
