The owners of two Millville, Ohio video stores and two clerks were indicted by a Butler County grand jury on charges of pandering obscenity. For one of the owners and one of his clerks, it was the second grand jury indictment in five months.\n Peter Tomaino, owner of VIP Video, and his clerks, Billy Doan and Caroletha Geter, Tomaino were accused in the indictments of selling an unspecified number of obscene videos. Lloyd Davidson, owner of Millville Video, just around the corner from VIP Video, was charged with two counts of pandering obscenity for selling three videos (Man Made, Agony of Arianna and Story of Ouch) to an undercover deputy.\n Five months earlier, video store owner Tomaino and clerk Doan were indicted for selling four adult videos to a minor. Lawyers for the two said they were entrapped by a county sheriff who recruited a 17-year-old to go in the store and buy the videos. At that time, the grand jury ignored three additional counts of pandering against Tomaino and Doan.\n "I'm reassured that the grand jury ignored some of the counts," said Laura Abrams, one of the defense lawyers. "Hopefully, the jury will ignore the rest." Abrams is also part of the defense team for Hustler (www.hustler.com) publisher Larry Flynt, who recently pleaded not guilty in nearby Cincinnati to 15 obscenity-related charges.\n Prosecutor John Holcomb said the arrests are part of a new get-tough stand the county is taking on obscenity. "They're going to know that if they sell obscene books or sell or rent obscene videotapes, they're doing so at their own risk. And a big risk it is," Holcomb said.\n Tomaino's trial on the original charges, first set for May, has been continued until Aug. 24 at Tomaino's request. Doan's lawyer has asked that she be tried with Tomaino.
