A city prosecutor was facing indecency charges Monday after surveillance cameras showed he was walking around a government building naked after hours.
Scott Blauvelt, 35, was arrested, booked and later released from jail to face a hearing in municipal court here, where he works, the Akron Beacon Journal reported.
A security guard monitoring cameras at a government building housing county offices, spotted Blauvelt on Oct. 5, authorities said. Blauvelt was also spotted by surveillance cameras the night before.
The prosecutor now faces two counts of indecency which carries a maximum penalty of one month in jail and a $250 fine.
During a hearing Wednesday, Blauvelt’s attorney said his client was seriously injured in an auto accident last year and suffers from bipolar disorder and must take medication for seizures.
