ON THE ROAD: SLEEP BEATS SEX

Business travelers aren't exactly getting their down time jollies with dirty movies in their hotel rooms. As a matter of fact, according to Westin Hotels, they'd rather have sleep than have sex, never mind watching it.

That's what the survey says, anyway. Polling six hundred frequent travelers, Westin's survey discovered only 11 percent admit to watching "dirty" movies in their hotel rooms while on the road. The survey also showed 63 percent of those asked would rather have a good night's sleep than anything else, including sex, while on the road.

The survey also says 49 percent complained they sleep less on the road than at home, with 31 percent saying they're more likely to awaken in the middle of the night. And the same group poll showed 73 percent saying they're kept awake because they miss their spouses, while 59 percent worry about what's happening back at the office, the survey says.

So what do they like to watch if they're awake in the night? The Westin survey says about 30 percent of those polled even like to put the tube on - but it's the news they're most likely going for. Seventy-nine percent of them watch CNN, 59 percent watch network news, and 51 percent go for local news.

United Press International says the survey's release Tuesday coincides with a $30 million investment in new beds for North American Westin's 83 hotels.
