Northstar's Grub Girl Rocks The Whisky

Northstar Associates held a release party Tuesday night at the world famous Whisky A Go Go on Sunset to celebrate the release of director Craven Moorehead's latest feature, Grub Girl, based on the Verotik comic book series of the same name.

The party followed a Tower Records event on Sunset, where fans stood in line to have their copy of Grub Girl signed by performers Eva Angelina and Brittney Skye, and by Verotik founder/rocker Glenn Danzig.

The bands Skumlove, Deadgirls Corp, Moorehead's band The Shift and Locke N Load all played to the several hundred in attendance while the DVD played on a large video monitor in the VIP area.

Porn stars present for the party included Skye and Angelina along with Katja Kassin, Nadia Styles, Joe Friday, and Sledge Hammer.

Northstar marketing manager Michael Atkins - clad in a venue-appropriate Iron Maiden tee - told AVN.com, "This party has been off the hook. I'm really happy with how this event helped brand the release. We did a big, huge push on it, thanks to Verotik Publishing and Glenn Danzig. This release has been a huge success for us.

"Organizing an event like this is a lot of hard work but I think it paid off."

Grub Girl is available from distributors now. To view a trailer of the release, visit www.northstarassociates.com.
