Not since Teri Weigel came into adult in 1990 has a Playmate performed in a hardcore scene. Over a decade later two more Playmates have simultaneously made the jump for Michael Ninn’s Temptations.
When Ninn went to the editing bay to wrap up Temptations he fell so in love with the footage of Victoria Zdrok and Linn Thomas, the only two women to have been both Playmates and Penthouse Pets, that he decided to leave the rest of the scenes from the video on the cutting room floor.
It’s not your standard affair. It’s not three positions and a pop. We shot hardcore annals and d.p.’s with it, but I took all the supporting cast out of it and just kept the Playmates in,” Ninn told AVN.com. “It seemed to mar up the show. The hardcore just didn’t work with what we had.”
What Ninnworx had was 120 minutes of Zdrok and Thomas stripping, teasing, masturbating, a girl/girl scene where the two playmates took turns pleasing each other, and one scene where with Zrdok’s husband Johnny B goes down on her while Linn masturbates.
Citing the popularity of Maxim, FHM, and other magazines that lack hardcore or even nudity, yet still appeal to their male audiences with beautiful women in erotic photographs, and the success of the Victoria’s Secret special on ABC, Ninn feels that those 120 minutes are more than enough.
“These women are beautiful enough not to have to take the formula of a standard adult picture. That’s why I decided to pull out the other commercial scenes,“ said Ninn.
“In the middle of shooting Linn I turned to my crew and I asked ‘is anyone else feeling what I’m feeling?’ The crew just went ‘We feel it. We know what your feeling.’ I thought I was the only one looking into the monitor and going ‘Holy Fuck!’” expressed Ninn.
Ninn thinks that soon Linn will be comfortable enough to do full blown sex scenes, though she is only willing to work with her husband.
“Believe it or not, there’s more in the woodworks. Other playmates. I’m talking with other playmates right now to do another Temptations.
