Nina Hartley Lands Cover of NYC Sexblogger Calendar

NEW YORK CITY—A group of models, porn stars and photographers has been enlisted by New York City's sex-positive blogging community to create "Visions of Sexual Freedom: New York City Sexbloggers 2011 Calendar"—and adult's own Nina Hartley graces its cover.

Profits from this year's calendar will be donated to the Woodhull Freedom Foundation, which held its first annual Sexual Freedom Day on Sept. 23, and whose mission is to expand the national dialogue around sex and sexuality and to be the resolute national voice that consistently raises the interconnections between various identities, communities, and the issue of sexual freedom as a fundamental human right.

Besides Hartley, the 2011 calendar includes images of fellow porn star Jiz Lee, as well as sex-positive bloggers Bad Bad Girl, Brandon B, Coy Pink, Dangerous Lilly, Essin’ Em, Gloria Brame, Lillith Grey, Luna, Matthew Lawrence, Max Lagos, Mollena Williams, Radical Vixen, Sadie Smythe and Sovereign Syre, biographies of whom can be found at the calendar's website.

Hartley was in NYC for the calendar's launch party, which took place at Fontana's in the city's SoHo district. Besides plenty of drinks, some attendees were given "goodie bags" that included gift certificates from Fascinations boutique, fun items from Bachelorette.com, Pearl Drop vibes from Good Vibrations, cock rings from Professor Oni and Sugar and Crystal Delights, free porn cards from Hot Movies for Her, pens and a "special surprise" from Whore Magazine, Eros Lube courtesy of Tabu Toys, a coupon for a free vibrator from Pleasure Chest, 4-ounce bottles of Sliquid Silk from Sliquid, Synergy Cool Tingle Lube from Wet, mousepads from Evolved World and more. A raffle also reportedly was held with prizes that included photo shoots by notable photographers, an erotica library from Pretty Things Press and Cleis Press, and plenty of sex toys.

Entertainment at the party featured spoken-word performances by Hartley, Carol Queen and Dylan Ryan, plus a variety of strippers and dancing girls.

The limited edition calendar sells for just $20, and can be ordered from the calendar's website.
