Nica Noelle Gets Talk Show on Boston Talk Radio WMEX 1510

BOSTON, MA—Boston Talk Radio 1510 WMEX producer Alex Weldon announced plans today to cohost a new talk radio show with journalist and award-winning adult film director Nica Noelle. The weekly two-hour free-form talk show, Banned, debuts January 22 and will broadcast live on Fridays from 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. (Internet listeners can tune in at tunein.com).

“I’m so happy to join the WMEX family at such an exciting time in the station’s development,” said Noelle. “Alex has distinguished himself both as a producer and radio personality in a very short period of time, and it’s a big honor to work with him.”

The AM station, which was purchased by Daly XXL Communications in June, quickly found a niche in the competitive Boston market by featuring a lineup of mostly local celebrities. WMEX drive-time shows includes The Michelle McPhee Show hosted by the popular author and Boston crime reporter, and recently added The Sandy Shack Show hosted by Shack, the longtime producer of nationally syndicated The Howie Carr Show. On February 1, the station will debut Shortsleeve and Mac, with TV news veteran Joe Shortsleeve and political strategist Diane McNamara.

Weldon, who also produces the station's Renegade Radio, began developing Banned with Noelle after the director appeared on the show as a guest in December.

“Alex and I realized we were totally on the same page about the kind of show we wanted to create,” Noelle said. “A mixture of current events, pop culture, fabulous guests, and of course the sordid details of our personal lives.”

“Nica brings an extensive resume in entertainment and journalism to the table, along with the ability to creatively articulate opinions on a wide range of topics,” Weldon said. “Her eclectic professional background and insider knowledge of the entertainment industry adds another level of intrigue to the program.”
