News From Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation

Sharon Mitchell reports: "It's a new millennium, a new year, what a great time to be alive, sexy, and healthy! We at AIM Health Care always start our new year off with a BANG, and that's just what we did! The Sabrina Johnson2000 Gang Bang! We tested and monitored all the participants by HIV PCR/DNA (an early detection test) to make sure that no one was at risk, and yes, we were there on the set to check tests to make sure they were no older than twenty-one days. We also supplied all the condoms and lube used on the set (sponsored by LA County Health Department and Tri-Mensa Pharmaceuticals.) Needless to say we had an eventful holiday and then it was off to the CES 2000 show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"We barely hit town, set up our booth (donated by CES,) and we were off to the Spearmint Rhino nightclub on January 6th for our 3rd annual 'Another 40th Birthday with Miss Sharon Mitchell and Friends,' a fund raiser for the AIM Health Care Foundation, of course. With co-hosts Randy Spears, Ginger Lynn and Cheyenne Wildcat, the performances were smoking. Kim Chambers opened the show and got the crowd (over 2500 in attendance) amped-up and screamin' for more. The newcomer Stormy came on with a seductive strut and set of breasts that not only stuck in my eyes, but also will be in my memory for a long time. Nina Hartley was up next, with a sassy jazz set and ooh, that booty! still kicks! Then Randy Spears announced the guest of honor, myself. I made an entrance and feigned a fall. "Is there a doctor in the house?" Randy called. Enter Dr. Tony Montana in scrubs, came on stage to give me a check-up and revived me by strategically placing his hand on me. I sprang to life and danced to "I Will Survive" - the crowd went crazy! The show went on from there another 90 minutes with Ron Jeremy doing some stand-up comedy, Erika Lockett showing off her new buffed body, Rosey Rockets, Miss Chloe looking like "the perfect girl," and Midori, who closed the show with her lithe, sinuous beauty.

"Including a quick auction of $150.00 for Ginger Lynn's panties, we raised over $5,500 for the AIM Health Care Foundation, which at this point is closer to my heart than my pussy.

"It's just been great; I've had appearances on CNN, Extra, E! Channel, and MSNBC - spreading the word about sexworker health, recovery, and how to stay healthy before, during, in or out of the industry.

"We have special programs at AIM, including a 'Porno 101' tape, which is an insider's outlook on becoming a porn star. Nina Hartley and I inform you on everything from how to spot a scumbag producer - to safe sex and the psychosocial aspects of emotional and mental health for porn industry personnel.

"We get over 100 e-mails a day. May I share with you some popular and informative Q & A's from our fabulous AIM supporters?

Question \nI am a single woman 21 years old and working happily as a prostitute in Miami, Florida. I use condoms, but on occasion we (my #1 sugar daddy and I) like to bring in a 3rd party. He prefers that she's fresh meat. Now I know that I should be at low risk for HIV, but what about other STD's like Chlamydia and Genital Warts? Signed, working my tail off in Miami. Well if it is not in your best interest to use a dental dam (a thin piece of plastic made for dentists, but widely used by dykes and most tricks don't like this because they can't see the action,) regular cellophane wrap or Saran-wrap will do. Hold it over the pussy, top to bottom, where heat and sensitivity pass through it very effectively and yes, you can actually cum through it! But, don't inhale (just a joke.)

Always remember - don't switch hands, keep your hands to yourself and your toys to yourself too. Chlamydia can sit on toys and skin and may be passed from partner to partner all too easily, as well as Hepatitis B. I recommend Forplay toy cleanser if you must use a toy over again.

Thanks for taking the time to protect you and your johns.Love, Sharon Mitchell

Question \nDear Mitchie, my boyfriend and I have been in the business for six months now, and have been working everyday. I started out doing scenes with just him, then girl-girl, now we've been working with different people on different sets, sometimes double booking, and when and if we see each other at all, it's to sleep or just passing through for a shower and a bite to eat. I love this man, and I feel like I'm on a treadmill full speed. I love the money, but sometimes I feel jealous. What should I do? Signed, working but confused.

Answer \nWhoa baby! Stop. Now. You are on a hamster wheel, but your hamster is dead. You won't have a thing if you don't put on the brakes and draw some boundaries. I understand how fast a career can take off in this industry. If you are not under contract or have management or an agent, it can chew you up in six months. The next thing they'll be telling you is that "you're over-exposed."

1. Take time off. The best recipe for success is as many days off as days on.

2. Do the things with your boyfriend that represents other forms of intimacy. Go to the beach, the museum, and yard sales. Whatever brought you together in the beginning will keep you together now.

3. Make a contract between the two of you in order that each of you can feel comfortable with the other's partners. Don't stray from that agreement. Trust is everything to industry couples.

4. Fact -- the business and the money will still be there after a vacation, I can guarantee you, and you both will be fresh, tan, and get as much work as you choose.

Also, call AIM for a financial counseling appointment, because it doesn't last forever unless you have a plan of action. Love, Auntie Mitch.

Remember, PCR/DNA testing is the way to go. We have had another HIV positive case in the industry. A new girl has placed several of our talent at risk because folks didn't check tests. Don't take anyone's "word" for it. Look at the test results, make sure it's less than thirty days old. and make an informed choice as to whether to use condoms or not.

As of 1-24-2000, 18% of talent in the industry are condom only players and 36% are condoms optional.

AIM Health Care Foundation provides a vital service to the industry. We are a non-profit organization and we need your support. Please send your tax-deductible donations to 14241 Ventura Blvd., Suite #105, Sherman Oaks, CA 91423.

This has been great to share a bit of my work and passion with you. See ya next month! Stay safe!
