PORN VALLEY—Fans countrywide are looking forward to the release of Ultra-Magnum Creations' Virtual Reality Simulator 3D, not only because of the hot babes—Sarah Vandella, Capri Cavalli and Rachel Roxxx—but because the disk features a never-before-seen variant of the anaglyph (two-color) 3D viewing system that promises to be significantly better than the more familiar red/blue or red/green color combination.
"Ultra-Magnum’s glasses venture away from the problematic red/blue filters, instead discovering a yellow/blue combination easing strain on the eyes," wrote Ultra-Magnum co-owner Bijan Ultra in a press release today. "Using the highest quality gel filters available, the glasses bring out full-color pass through and deep 3D images. Skin tones and scene colors are reproduced perfectly, so the movie is clear and enjoyable."
But that's not all. Unlike every other adult 3D production to date, Ultra-Magnum used four HD cameras to capture the performers' heat in Virtual Reality Simulator 3D, which allowed Ultra-Magnum to shoot multiple angles, which in turn maximizes the 3D effect for close-up and long shots. A beam-splitter rig such as those used in mainstream productions allowed for great depth in close-ups, something missing in most adult 3D productions. And in order to provide the even more realistic 3D POV scenes, Ultra-Magnum incorporated the use of a fifteen-foot crane to hoist the weighty cameras above the participants' heads and create amazing angles.
"Producing a high-end 3D adult movie meant stepping away from the norm and reinventing the way cost-effective 3D movies are made," Ultra stated. "The available technology was unsatisfactory, so Damon [Magnum] and I spent years refining everything from the glasses to the cinematography, in order to create an immersive 3D experience."
