New Song, Radio Campaign Spearhead <i>Britney Rears 2</i>

Starlet Britney Rears’ marketing campaign was highlighted by a music theme song that received airplay on radio stations across the US, including multiple spins on the Howard Stern radio show.

X-Play and Hustler Video are now prepping the sequel movie Britney Rears 2: I Wanna Get Laid which hits stores April 11. Now, Rears and company are releasing a brand new pop theme song which carries on the Rears music tradition of being funny and catchy.

“You won’t be able to get the damn song out of your head after you hear it a couple of times,” said Scott David co-producer of Britney Rears 2. The new theme song is being sent to over 400 radio stations across the country.

“This is a little different than marketing the ‘other’ Britney to radio, but the end goal is the same and that is to get the song spun. Once we get it played even if only a part of it as a novelty song, that usually opens up conversation about Britney Rears. Before you know it, we get a request for Britney to come to town and do a signing along with a radio interview.”

The song was written and produced by Big Richard Black and Jeff Mullen who also collaborated on the first Britney song.

“We have no illusions of getting this new Britney track to the top of the Billboard charts, however we are very serious about getting it played on radio stations across America and the best way to do that is by getting it into the hands of program directors and DJs,” said Jeff Mullen, president of All Media Play, which is marketing the release in conjunction with Hustler Video.

Britney Rears 2: I Wanna Get Laid will be in stores April 11 from X-Play/ Hustler Video and stars Britney Rears, Hillary Scott, Eva Angelina, Jenaveve Jolie, Sunny Lane, Nyomi Marcela, Shy Love, Nikki Hilton, Nadia Styles and Kapri Styles.
