New Sensations Teams with Andrews for Dark Angels Sequel

Director Nic Andrews has reunited with New Sensations to make Dark Angels 2: Bloodline.

In the summer of 2000, New Sensations and Andrews teamed up to create Dark Angels, which won AVN Awards for Best Video, Best Music, Best Editing and Best Director.

The vampire-inspired thriller utilized the biggest budget ever allotted by New Sensations, and the budget for the sequel will be more than double the original, according to the company.

“We had some amazing success with Dark Angels and the opportunity is finally perfect for us to create this long awaited sequel,” New Sensations President Scott Taylor said. “We will not spare on the expense, the intensity or the drama with the making of this movie and I am thrilled to have Nic Andrews back in the fold to shoot what I am confident will be a the biggest movie that New Sensations has ever put out.”

Dark Angels 2: Bloodline is scheduled to be shot over 14 days in early May. The story will involve modern-day vampires who are the targets of civilian retribution.

“I won’t give away too much of the story, but I will say that this is a wonderful script that will provide real conflict as it offers a unique look at the larger struggle between good and evil,” Andrews said.

New Sensations indicated the production would be shot in high-definition using Panasonic cameras.

“We are spending a great deal of money on this sequel so that the final product meets all of our expectations,” Taylor said.

Barrett Blade has been cast in the leading male role, while the female lead “will be kept under wraps” until a later date.

“Let’s just say that we have found somebody perfect to play this role that is not totally known yet to the adult world,” Andrews said.

Dark Angels 2: Bloodline will be released later this year.
