New Porn Order Challenges All Comers

There’s always been a not-so-subtle link between porn and pro wrestling: the over-the-top characters, the “reality” of so much of the action, the feuds and the us-against-world mentality. Craig Valentine and Summer Haze have taken this to the logical extreme with their company New Porn Order or NPO.

Taking time out from the hectic pace of AEE 2007, Valentine explained the venture. “Do remember WCW?” he asked. “Remember New World Order? It was the old wrestlers that everyone had supposedly forgotten about in favor of the newer faces, but they re-took the wrestling world? Aren’t there some similar parallels to our business?”

Valentine drops in some of his credentials. “I’ve been doing this for 15 years now. Ron Jeremy, Nina Hartley, Teri Weigel…they all paved the way for what’s happening now. Where’s Jim South now? Retired because all the young punks ran him out of business. Our feeling is that we started it, and now we’re going to finish it. We started NPO and we’re bringing back all the old stars. They’ll be side-by-side with the new stars, but the new stars will respect the old stars.”

Valentine explained the genesis of NPO. “It started when Summer Haze and I did a radio show with Ron Jeremy,” he said. “We invited some new stars out of Miami to appear. And these new girls were being nasty to Ron, calling him fat and old. But they needed to respect him as a legend. And that caused us to start New Porn Order.”

What are they doing? Trying to shake the status quo. “We’re all about reality porn parodies,” explained Valentine. “We just shot one called The Not So Simple Porn Life and another one called Dawg the Booty Hunter where we ran around Porn Valley arresting porn stars. You name it, we’re doing a parody of it.”
