New Performer London Jailed

During a visit to the Ducati Productions office on January 10, new Goldstar model Lori London, whose real name is Larissa Makaryk, stole a blank check from Ducati's deposit only account and attempted to cash it with a fake ID two days later.

Presented with an ID expired by two years and a generic check with only a routing number on it, the bank teller checked the signature against the one on file which did not match.

Bank officials immediately called Ducati to verify the validity of the check. When it was reported to be invalid, bank officials confiscated the ID and the check which she had just fingerprinted, but let Makaryk get away before police could arrive.

Kevin Rubio arrived at the bank shortly thereafter to identify the person on the ID.

Goldstar Modeling, whose office is walking distance from the branch, was then contacted to see if Makaryk was still at the office. It was reported that she had just left for the airport to leave the state a week earlier. GoldStar provided photos and flight information to assist in apprehending her.

Returning to the branch with Makaryk's photo, bank officials identified her as the one trying to cash the bogus check. Rubio, along with the FBI and 10 officers of the LAPD, intercepted Makaryk at the LAX terminal as she prepared to board her flight and immediately seized her boarding pass. Makaryk's baggage was then offloaded from the plane and searched.

Confronted with the check with her fingerprint, Makaryk admitted to the crime, at which time she was arrested and taken away in handcuffs.
