New Metro Head: Mainstream Style

A recent management change at Metro has landed mainstreamer Yuki Rosenfeld in the driver's seat.rnrn

Rosenfeld has replaced Metro general manager Sam Nelson with the title of President, and an agenda of "continuing with an aggressive schedule of new releases, improving customer service,.and hands-on interaction with every aspect of the company."rnrn

"It looks like this industry can use some mainstream input;" Rosenfeld told AVN.com, "This industry is moving in a mainstream direction and the numbers back it up."rnrn

Rosenfeld once ran the $600M Fedco chain of superstores. His focus, he says, will be on "customer service and relations, and on-time deliveries."rnrn

Rosenfeld, who started Monday, arrived after the departures of several office staff and Metro's DVD manager. "We will try to use existing staff," he told AVN.com, "we believe we have a lot of good people here and we want to capitalize on it."rnrn

"They're changing management," said Metro contract-star Ron Jeremy. " It's sad, I liked working with these guys (Sam Nelson et al). But they've got some great titles they are about to release, They've got the Sex and the Studio with the rappers coming out, and On the Loose has been doing very well."
