New Frontier Media Sued by Former Chief Financial Officer

According to the Boulder News/The Daily Camera, Scott Wussow, former CFO for New Frontier Media, has filed suit in Boulder [Colorado] District Court against New Frontier Media

Wussow, said The News, claims in his June 4 suit that Boulder-based New Frontier Media Inc. (Nasdaq: NOOF) never gave him money, shares of stock and a monthly car allowance of $500 promised to him.

Neither Wussow's lawyers nor New Frontier executives returned phone calls said The News.

[Gene sez: Mark Kreloff, CEO of New Frontier Media was contacted on two occasions by yours truly but did not respond with comment.]

Wussow's suit names Kreloff, Michael Wiener and Andrew Brandt, all officers and New Frontier shareholders. Wussow's lawsuit says Wussow had a job with another company in November 1997. According to the suit, Wussow said he would work at New Frontier if he was given specific compensation later that month. He says he was allegedly promised pay of $75,000 annually and $100,000 a year after the company's initial public offering.

Wussow was allegedly promised 300,000 cashless stock warrants and 20,000 shares of Kreloff's personal stock. He says he got 10,000 shares of Kreloff's stock but no cashless stock warrants.

"This is not the first time New Frontier has been involved in a lawsuit," The News observed. "It was sued in March by a former investor who said the company promised him control of the business for a $10 million investment.

"The investor, J.P. Lipson, said he was never put in charge. In turn, New Frontier countersued Lipson.

[Gene sez: "The Lipson suit had been scheduled for an August trial date.]

Photog Scott Preston and performer Sindee Coxx have called it quits. It must have been truly official because Preston was seen at Extreme Associates yesterday afternoon trying to cut a deal on the lease of Coxx' 1999 blue Camaro with 10,000 miles and 27 payments still owed on it.

The somewhat nebulous connection between Firestorm Productions and Gigi Appleton's company, Avalon has cleared up somewhat. As reported earlier, DK, owner of Royal King Productions, said he formed a partnership with James Fortune of Firestorm and began shooting movies. Danny Rich directed their first feature. During the course of the interview, DK said Appleton was going to distribute their product. When contacted, Appleton said she never heard of either DK or Fortune. However, in follow-up questioning, DK did say that Rich had been the one in contact with Avalon who said she knew Rich from other dealings. Avalon also said, however, that no deal has been finalized with Firestorm until she's had a look at the screener.

Jewel DeNyle writes: "Hi Gene I just wanted to keep in touch with you and let you know about an actor in the business who I'd personaly like to thank. I'd like to thank Erik Everhard for being the most patient actor in the business I've ever met. Erik was on the set of my next feature which involves a lot of special effects and special effect makeup.

Erik's part in the film was a clay statue that I mold and create then he comes to life and we do a scene together. Erik had to sit in a make-up chair for six hours getting latex and clay molding put on his entire body it was amazing.

Not only did he not complain but he did a great scene dispite all the long hours of creating his character. I just wanted to let producers and talent know he is a blessing to this industry and I thank him for making my movie a pleasure. Hope to talk to you soon Gene and I also wanted to let Avn know this year was my first VSDA show and I thought it went great and Jim Holiday's seminar was fantastic because of this show I have three months of bookstore signings so thanks for the exposure it really gave me the boost for signings. Talk to you soon!

Gene sez: Time permitting for the excruciating labor of transcribing, we hope to be able run some the highlights of Holliday's informative seminar. Bill Leibowitz of Golden Apple Comics, in particular, lent some generous insights to the art of the store signing.

According to Andrew Drake of Sinthetic Video, "workhorse" adult male preformer and Director for Sinthetic Video, Ian Daniels personal website iandaniels.com is set for it's World Wide unveiling July 30th.

Drake: "Ian has been a true and loyal instrument in our attempt to make a name 'Sinthetic' in this Industry, I hope he (Ian) will be pleased with the outcome of this venture, and I really hope He thrives and is motivated to create NEW exciting content for it, after all it's his site and it can only be a great as he wants it to be."

Quasarman writes: "Hi Gene: In keeping with the practice of industry persons shamelessly hyping product on your site I wanted to drop you a line to tell you that the second installment in the continuing saga "Stop! My Ass is on fire!" has just been completed and will be released by Metro Home Video soon..

It includes a scene featuring Chloe demontrating how she prepares for anal sex which I can only describe as disturbing. A screener of the show will be on it's way to the offices of AVN shortly. It will of course be delivered along with the usual envelope stuffed with money by a trio of hookers wearing knee pads. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for your time and space.

P.S. Though we have been overwhelmed by male talent, there is still a critical shortage of vagina for our Mexico shoot in October. If you have a vagina or know someone who does, please call Metro at (818) 988-1067 ext 116.

Gene sez: "Kneepads notwithstanding, you can be assured that mentions of your product will continue in the fine, shameless tradition set forth by this site."

Farrell Timlake writes: "To Legend's Publicity Director, I must say thank you for so many reasons because of your timely response to my posting about Sex for life too. As a publicity director for Legend, the fact that you are willing to work on my promotion is quite flattering. You could not have been from a better company to address my letter with your rebuttal, and I thank you because you brought forth the challenge I sought.

First, liking or not liking my picture is of no issue or consequence to me. The only critical point I want to make is that I am different, and my companies product is different than the, what are you up to now, thirty something releases a week, shlock that you guys are notorious for distributing. From the put-you-to-sleep softcore stuff, to the so stupid its insulting rip-off of mainstream titles, to the gaping anus misogynistic vomiting revelry, your material ranges from boringly distasteful to repulsively diseased.

When you are not churning out that crap, you've been scrapping to get all our producer's original series like those by Max, and Al Borda, who we are happy to give with their liabilities intact, and our talent like Breanna Lee, with her freshness not intact. So what can you say to promote them now that does not in essence promote us? Legend has been copying all of our more unique box designs for years, look at AVN for a reference, so that is just one more thank you that I owe for the flattery of imitation. As I see it, what do you do have to promote that is really significantly yours, besides how low that stuff is going to be priced this week? Or how wide the anus will gape? Lovely. Let's see if you can make mainstream coverage with that, superstar.

Plain and simple, you have never done anything as interesting as Sex for Life too. Maybe some day, but you guys are an empire like Burger King, and you keep churning out the same cheap full of fat cheesy piece of shit hamburger. Why change? You make money, thank Jeff and Sandy, they are great sales people to sell so much sand at the beach. Thank Max, who you don't own outright, but whom you only rent, thanks partly to us.

Unfortunately, you hard working folks share the boat with the rest of us, working harder for less, going up against the flood of product, no paddle, trying to find a better direction. Thanks again, for taking time out from promoting gaping anus and vomiting videos, to bring attention to my movie, Sex for Life too.

Gene sez: "When all's said and done, there's something to be said for gaping anus misogynistic vomiting revelry."

For the sake of readers' sanity we did not run all the six or seven e-mails that Galactica Galaxina posted yesterday. Just to bring you up to speed, however, she's now feuding with Kevin Korey for, aside from other things, posting her "death notice" on this site several days ago. Korey, like many others, was led to believe Galaxina took her life early in May and provided the information he was e-mailed that would have drawn that obvious conclusion.

Galaxina: "I'm sorry for so much mail the other day,I was so up set seeing this kevin Korey cockroach acting like the pure as driven snow with more dirty tracks then a drug addict spaced out on prozac ,he is insane reminds me of theses vasalean sleak winging his neck chain thinking he is a big wheel, he is nobody, I have an agent now kevin is the want to be that never can be but he is hopeless, kevin korey and his type are cockroachs and dont want the flash light shined on them to expose fumagated out there lies and seedy ways))))))well it is coimg like it or not Ggalaxina

Mike Ross writes: "(Nashville)-De Ja Vu manager Mike Rucker and candidate Al Woods registered over 500 voters in just one week. Using a system that combines networking with adult businesses and making personal calls to "customers and vendors" the duo are hoping that their 500+ new voters will make a difference in some very close races. There are over 125 candidates battling for about 40 positions, including Mayor.

From Mike Ross: "(Phoenix)-Sandee Weinstein knows a good name when he sees it, that's why he started Arizona's Adult Entertainment Industry Education Fund. Modeled after California's AEIEF, the new PAC will also represent the adult film, video, novelties and Internet, whereas the National and California Cabaret Association represents the needs of the Cabaret industry. As Sandee's plan unfolds, we wonder - is the Arizona Cabaret Association far behind?

Quoth Mike Ross, Nevermore: "By the time you read this, the NCA's Internet web-server will be up and running, giving us the opportunity to provide you with another membership benefit. The "Internet Benefit" is simple..... all businesses that join a State Chapter will receive 10 Megabytes of free web space yearly as well as web page services. With that amount of space dedicated to your needs, we hope to create a giant "Adult Oriented Political Web-Mall" that will provide organizing services while educating consumers about our cause. To provide this benefit, we've hired Webmaster Robert Langly. If you're interested in a free website, please contact us at (916) 456-7311.

Mike Ross: "After spending 10 years as an elected official on the Syracuse Common Council, Susann Panik, NCA's New York coordinator is bringing her political skills to the industry that originally started her down her career path - Cabarets.

"She is the most qualified manager I've ever met," Ken Rubin, the owner of Ken's Diamond Dolls said. "I hope that she'll be able to use her political skills to organize NY's Cabarets in an effort to fight back."

One of Susann's current responsibilities as manager of the Diamond Dolls includes monitoring the actions of the Common Council, and recently formed the Syracuse Cabaret Association in an effort to fight the City's proposed adult entertainment ordinance.

"We were able to help bottle up the ordinance because we were proactive as opposed to being reactive," Ken continued. On behalf of the NCA, Susann will help us organize and raise funds in NY. The first "fund-raiser" is slated for October 19, with a date, time and theme to be determined by the end of the month. All money raised from the fund-raisers will be used in NY.

Susann's organizational, political and promotional skills will also be used in New England, where she'll work with the Connecticut Adult Business Coalition.

Dirty Bob writes: "Dirty Gene: Looks like the Vegas oddsmakers took a bath on this one - Jenna did indeed show up at the Ponderosa Sun Club's nude contests last Sunday. Reports have it she made a mint doing Polaroids and autographs for the fans. Stephanie Swift also was there and the fans loved her as well!

Wicked Pictures' Seth McCoy posts this note for Serenity fans: "Serenity will be on the Man Show Wednesday evening at 10:30 pm on Comedy Central. She will also be shooting two movies for us next week. The first movie, a vignette with a country theme, will be shot Saturday and Sunday. The second shoots mid-week and will be called wickedgirl.com. Both are to be directed by Brad Armstrong.

Kevin Korey writes: "I just wanted you to post a warning to talent AND production companies alike. We have found a site that has the ID shot of a major contract actress from a photo shoot published for the whole world to see. I have the photo in my possession. It shows her holding her ID high and proud! Most of the information is visible, at least the vitals ARE there, real name, address, city, state etc....we really need to find another way of doing this ID stuff guys! It's not much better photocopying the ID's either, we just had another actress who was contacted 8 MONTHS later to get a new copy of her ID's because they lost them!!! They required Drivers License and Social Security cards to be photocopied.........that's all the information someone needs to be you, and totally fuck up your credit rating, bank account etc....... Oh, Also, I think Napoleon as "Kid Vegas" side kick is somewhat reminiscent of "Austin Powers" ........I think we will call him "Mini V!"

You can show Jerry Maguire the money, but you're going to have to show Tom Byron the movie. Byron is claiming that a photo, courtesy of Ramsey, allegedly depicting him sucking she-male cock on another site, are doctored. Byron says he'd like to see the movie this still is supposed to be from. Byron will have more to say about that in an upcoming interview.

Rob Black: "That Ramsey's the guy who fucking goes after us all the time. We don't know who he is. We think it's somebody with Van. We're not sure. He's usually going after me all the time..I'm this...I'm that."

These were Black's first reactions when the Tom Byron picture hit the Luke Ford site and Black was informed about it.

Black [laughing]: "Got the fuck outta here!! Does he look young? Man, Byron's going to lose his mind. There's no way it's real. Tommy's the most open motherfucker in this world. He would have said I did this years ago. This'll be good."

Rodney Moore's interesting e-mail posted earlier today prompted a call to see what the Rodster was up to. Moore had one of his troupe, Venus Milan, signing at the Odyssey booth during the Summer Expo. It was Venus' strong gams that caught our eye, so the interrogation started off with her.

Moore: "She came to me through Raquel Devine who's retired. She did a few scenes for me, and she worked for a few other people. She's still working but not that much. Odyssey asked me to recommend somebody, and she was the one who came to mind who I knew for sure would show up. She works mainly as a fitness trainer." {Evidence, the legs].

Moore said Venus appeared in Return of the Cumm Brothers; Creme de la 29 & Face 34; and Cum Stoppers 16.

Moore: "I'm doing a new series for Odyssey. It's going to be called Rodney Moore's Different Strokes, but each volume will have a different subtitle. The first one will be Drool Job Planet. That will be out around September 20. It will feature all the biggest droolers in the business - girls that give big sloppy head with saliva all over the place."

G. Ross: "Who heads the list as far as droolers?"

Moore: "Probably the girl with the biggest reputation as a major drooler is not in the movie at all. And that's fine by me. That would be Inari Vachs. From what I understand Pussyman has spoiled her. She's not easy to work with anymore. I tried to get her, but it didn't happen. But it will have Bobbie Bliss, Obsession, Kasorn Swan, Tangerine, Donna...there was a scene up in Seattle which I shot called Fruits of Love with two girls that share fruit. There's also a cute scene with a spiral staircase where one of the girls sits at the bottom in a chair with a pair of goggles on. The other girl at the top of the 'case keeps drooling down onto her face. I got some interesting angles on that...it's just some weird stuff that has to deal with drool for whoever finds that to be a turn on."

Moore says he's got another concept in the works but doesn't want to say too much about it since it probably won't be out until, maybe, December, what with Odyssey's advanced schedule. "It's tough to find something interesting and unique without jumping on the degradation bandwagon as everyone seems to be doing," he says.

Moore talks about how he posted on RAME that Shanna McCullough was going to do a big swallowing scene for him and for people to e-mail how they wanted to see her to swallow.

Moore: "Some people e-mailed; some people posted. I printed out a bunch of them so we actually started the scene with her reading the e-mails from different people while two different girls were giving head to a guy in the background...the suggestions were all over the place..half the people wanted a straight swallow and the other half wanted her drinking out of glasses and stuff. We tried to mix it up and please everybody.

"I shot a girl the other day who didn't swallow but had it in her mouth, and was drooling and playing with it with her tongue for five minutes. As soon as we were done she starts regurgitating. She goes, 'yeah, I have this ability, just like a cat to regurgitate.' Without actually throwing up, she pops all this cum back up through her throat." Moore said he'd rather not say who the girl was. "It's not like she was grossed out or anything."

Moore says he was disappointed in the review of Creme de la Face 32. "I think the scene Laurel Canyon did was really outstanding. She plays a robot that has five distinct personalities - one's a slut, one's a dominatrix, one's sweet and innocent, one's a slave girl and the other a dumb blond Valley girl. I thought she did extremely well on that. But the guy who reviewed it, saw that scene as a negative, that it went on too long."

Pussyman Dave Christopher found Moore's comment about Inari Vachs' 'attitude' particularly amusing: "You know why? She probably wanted more money than he was willing to pay. That's what that sounds like. He don't want to pay her the bucks. She got 'ruined' in my 'American Cocksucking Championship' movie. Her and Shanna McCullough have 10, 10-inch cocks with cum smacking around their faces. I've used Inari in like six of my movies. I ruined her! I gave her too much money! She must have said she wanted $400 more than he was willing to pay her. That's what I think. I don't want to get into a whole Internet battle. I like Rodney, he's a decent guy. My production manager said I definitely paid her more in my cocksucking movie than I should have paid. I made the deal. Now I don't make them. I'm good at getting the talent together but not making the money deals. But I thought it was worth it. She was tremendous."

Jeff Hickey's sporting blue hair and a hankering to go out with redhead Sonja Red. Hickey saw Red's "off the bus" interview in the July AVN and was smitten with the 5'10" busty beauty.

Hickey: "People in supermarkets are telling me your hair is pretty, it's so beautiful. How did it get that color? Is it natural?

G. Ross: "Yeah, you're a natural blue head."

Hickey: "I'm home for a little bit..and, hey, can you get me a date with that Sonja chick? I want to invite her to the Oz fest on Saturday...it's the last Black Sabbath tour...she used to roadie, hey, if that's not a match made somewhere, I don't know what is."

G. Ross: "Maybe if you get two roadies together, you'll have a super highway."

Danni's Hard Drive -- www.danni.com -- Pacts with Montcalm Publishing Corp. to Build New Online Presence for Gallery Magazine

Danni's Hard Drive "DHD" (www.danni.com), one of the Internet's first and leading adult Websites, has entered into a creative services agreement with Montcalm, publisher of the third largest men's magazine in the world.

The agreement calls for DHD to create a new web presence for Montcalm's flagship publication, Gallery Magazine. Montcalm has contracted with DHD to create, redevelop and maintain gallerymagazine.com (www.gallerymagazine.com).

DHD will apply all of its design, creative services and back office support to the Gallery project including its ultra fast proprietary online credit card processing, 24 hour customer service and its new state of the art Internet broadcast facilities.

DHD Founder and President Danni Ashe, stated, "Gallery is one of the most well known and respected brand names in the adult world, and Montcalm has an impeccable business reputation. It's an ideal fit for this first venture into using our own proprietary tools, technologies, and creative services for outside companies. Gallery's high quality content and 20 year 'Girl Next Door' archive will make for a sensational new website."

Since 1995, DHD has been a recognized leader in Internet entertainment. The company's reputation for success and growth, as well as customer loyalty and satisfaction, is what attracted Gallery publisher Russell Orenstein. "DHD is the class of the Internet. Integrity and longevity aren't necessarily web hallmarks, but DHD has already established a business beyond reproach. They were our only choice," said Orenstein.

Danni's Hard Drive, a pioneer in Internet commerce, gets on average over 7 million hits a day and has over 30,000 members. It has been featured on the covers of the Wall Street Journal and USA Today, and has received extensive television coverage including 48 Hours, CNN, ABC World News Tonight, Politically Incorrect, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, E! Channel and a host of other print and broadcast media.

Best known as being the very first men's magazine to feature amateur content with its trademark "Girl Next Door" contest, Gallery is currently distributed worldwide. Gallery's first issue appeared in 1972 featuring authorized nude photos of Linda Evans. Since then, Gallery has been cited in the Congressional Record and is one of only two longstanding men's publications never to be found guilty of obscenity.

The new Gallery web site is scheduled to be live by mid-August.

DK, head of Royal King Entertainment Enterprises, informs us that he's hired Sheryl Evans to be the publicist/assistant for a new company he's forming together with James Fortune of Firestorm Productions.

DK: "He and I have formed a business relationship, and we've decided to make Bobbie Bliss our headline girl [non-exclusively] for Firestorm Productions. We have three partnerships here, Altered Images Video which is the production division. We shot a film last Sunday called The Sweetest Pieces. We had Bobbie Bliss, Elle DeVyne and a new girl called Bee Spanks. It's our first release.

"Danny Rich shot the feature. He's a very talented guy by way of editing and shooting. His technological knowledge and skills are unreal. This will be distributed through Gigi Appleton."

A very puzzled Appleton says this: "I'm usually not that flaky, but I don't recall a deal. I don't know who these guys are unless they told me a different name. Is this somebody I should know? Unless this guy has just sent me a screener...I'm handling something for Dangerboy Video where Mila shoots eggs out her ass... unless this is something sitting on my shelf, I haven't had a chance to look at...if I talked to this guy the only thing I said was I'd be happy to give my opinion if somebody sent me a screening cassette. I do not have a signed deal with this person."

Pennsylvania Organizes To Hire Lobbyist Ohio Sets 2nd Meeting - Connecticut & NY Plan Fund-raisers

Mike Ross writes: "After careful review, last week's series of Club Owners meetings can only be considered a success, as clubs in Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania made plans to organize. The most successful meeting was Pennsylvania's. At that meeting, a new board was announced and supported, while decisions were made ranging from future meeting dates to dues structures.

The second leg of the NCA Cabaret tour, dubbed "PACapalooza '99," started in Cincinnati, and had only one club manager in attendance (Jason Garvey from De Ja Vu). After a days worth of discussions about the club's future expansion plans, (larger club and a new Boutique), we discussed Cincinnati's greater political climate. Once all the cards were on the table, we formulated a political game plan, and will be working together to implement it.

Cleveland was next on the agenda. Thanks to the owners of the Crazy Horse, we were provided with a room, tasty food and a place to "talk turkey about the industry". The meeting culminated with a commitment to hold another session (Columbus- 8/10), with the hopes that 50% of the state's clubs will attend. A location, to be announced next week, is being provided by Cabaret Owner Roy Smith. The organization also selected De Ja Vu's Toledo Manager, Shawn Spinner as the Interim President of the Ohio Cabaret Association.

After Cleveland, Syracuse was next on the agenda. During Sunday's meeting, 6 club owners representing 17 upstate NY clubs, not only reviewed our plans, but pledged over $5,000 towards the organization efforts. (The NCA added an additional $2,000 for a $7,000 total). The committee also agreed to hold a regional membership/fund-raiser meeting in October 19. To enhance and protect what we raised, Ken Rubin of Diamond Dolls volunteered the assistance of his Manager, Susann Panik. He did so while suggesting that she assist us in organizing NY, as well as New England.

On Monday, Susann and I attended a Common Council meeting and watched as they "pulled" a proposed local "anti-cabaret ordinance". As it currently stands, the ordinance is not expected to be introduced until after the fall's local elections when it's expected that voting blocks will change, meaning that we'll have to monitor their actions closely.

On Tuesday, Cabaret owners representing about 50 Pennsylvania clubs were in attendance. With our input and support, they've become EXTREMELY organized (they had a proposed board, program and budget ready for discussion). Privately, members who have multiple businesses in other states asked the NCA to conduct meetings in those states. We're working on dates in which to hold those meetings, which are expected to take place in Aug. or early Sept.

"Pennsylvania needs and wants to organize, educate, fund-raise and foster (y)our input. Pennsylvania needs a lobbyist and PR Director IMMEDIATELY due to the number and size of the state's problems and political attacks. We support their efforts as long as they are organized and proactive."

However, Pennsylvania's leadership emphasized that the NCA will oversee and participate in their battles, growth, direction and progress. They also proposed that we help recommend, select, and then work with their lobbyist. Additionally, they've pledged that 7% of all money that they raise will be donated to the NCA for assistance in Congressional lobbying.

In closing, the second leg of our tour provided us as a political entity with two major side benefits. First, we met with five local "adult publications" and not only received some positive PR, but we were asked to become a contributing writer to all of the publications. Second, the Connecticut Adult Business Coalition will be working with us and as such, has invited me to their first fund-raiser on 7/31/99 in Connecticut.
