New Frontier Media Launches Pleasure Channel

hour, pay-per-view adult entertainment network.

The Network will launch on Time Warner Cable's West Valley, Canyon County and South Pasadena, Calif. systems [approximately139,000 cable customers, post-rebuild]. New Frontier Media, Inc. expects to announce several other carriage agreements shortly. Pleasure offers cable and satellite companies a new choice for adult programming that incorporates traditional editing styles. Pleasure's programming will focus on story-driven, film-based, high-quality productions. The Network will offer 20+ World Premiere movies each month [five per week], with unduplicated air times. Pleasure's anchor feature will air at 10:30 p.m. EST, which is one-half hour later than TeN's [The Erotic Network], New Frontier Media, Inc.'s flagship adult entertainment network. TeN launched in September 1998, and is now available in more than 3.0 million addressable U.S. cable and satellite homes.

"Pleasure's programming and license fees are designed to meet the demand from cable operators and satellite providers for a more competitively-priced edited adult network service," said Mark H. Kreloff, Chief Executive Officer of New Frontier Media, Inc. "Pleasure's launch provides 100% coverage in the adult programming market in terms of editing standards. When combined with TeN, Pleasure delivers the most aggressive business plan for adult entertainment carriage in the industry."
