New Edition of Image-Scanning Adult Site Blocker Released

Version 1.4 of Photo No-No!, an adult site blocker that scans imagery for adult content, has been released by Elex Technologies.

New features added to the software include improved image analysis, secondary image analysis, blocking of adult images in e-mail, and blocking an estimated "hundreds of thousands" of adult sites automatically, Elex said announcing the new version's release.

The program depends on the use of what Elex calls a sliding scale of AI image analysis, which the parent user controls and which helps the program analyze every image hitting the computer, either letting it through or blocking it. The user can also use separate scans to uncover adult images that might already be hidden on the computer's drives, the company said.

Users can get a free trial version at the Photo No-No! Website, or can buy the full version for $29.95, with discount versions available to libraries wanting to make the federal Children's Internet Protection Act deadline.
