Today’s release of Nectar Entertainment’s Welcome to the Valley 6 marks the end of the episodic comedy porn series’ first season.
Welcome to the Valley has a continuous storyline, with the end of each episode setting up the beginning of the next.
“We try to view this as a TV series. And just as a mainstream series would, we wanted to make a big impression with the season’s final episode to encourage people to continue watching us the next season,” Sean Logan, CEO of Nectar Entertainment, said.
And while the series finale does include a cliffhanger in the storyline (the main character ends up in jail), the “big impression” Logan refers to would be the inclusion of Nectar’s first creampie and first interracial scenes.
“We wouldn’t have been able to make six of these already if we weren’t well aware that fantastic sex scenes are vastly more important than storyline,” Logan said. “But when used correctly, a storyline can help a series stand apart from everything else on the shelf.
“We credit our comedic storylines for the cult type of following that Welcome to the Valley seems to grow incrementally with each episode,” Logan said. “Word of mouth has helped each new episode sell better than the last. And the people who just came in on say the fifth episode, they go back to their retailers for the prior releases in the series.”
The series is currently on hiatus, but will be back this fall.
