Nectar Signs Johnny Diablo to Exclusive Ten Video Deal

Nectar Entertainment has signed Johnny Diablo to an exclusive ten video contract that calls for Diablo to produce, direct, and write ten installments of Welcome to the Valley, a new comedy series that spoofs the adult industry.

“Johnny is incredibly talented. He comes from a mainstream background and his experience really shows,” Sean Logan, CEO of Nectar Entertainment, told AVN.com. “He works very well with the people at Nectar Entertainment and he fits right into our program.”

Diablo was brought on specifically to work on the Welcome to the Valley series after the series debut convinced Nectar that their self-deprecating spoof of the Adult industry was worth developing.

Welcome to the Valley 2, due in stores October 18, is Diablo’s first adult video. While vague about his mainstream background, Diablo admits to having worked in various capacities in the mainstream entertainment industry.

“I ran into a couple of guys here that I worked with before on certain other projects out in the regular world, and they managed to pull me in from there, because they’ve always liked my sense of humor. I mean, I’m the usual, as you can tell, jovial, sarcastic, lighthearted kind of Buddha,” Diablo recalled.

streets October 18.

“I’ve done quite a few things in terms of shooting, writing, and cutting. I’m just kind of like a jack-of-all-trades, so to speak,” Diablo said. “We just got to talking one night and told me about an idea they had. After about six hours of real talking and a couple of drinks later, we hammered everything out. Not in the homosexual sense, but in terms of business, we hammered everything out, and this thing was pretty much reborn.”

Although new to Adult, Diablo feels comfortable signing a deal with a company like Nectar. “We’re all on the same page. We all have the same vision. We all know what we want out of this and we’re gonna stop at nothing to get it. I feel really fortunate here. The sky’s the limit.”

Welcome to the Valley is an episodic series with sense of continuity that allows characters to develop, much like a mainstream television series. It’s basically set at Nectar Entertainment’s office, where the characters are based on the people at Nectar, and the porn stars who work for them.

“We have some really, really funny content in the office of stuff that happens to us every day that we are constantly adding to the series,” Diablo said. “It’s gonna be really funny and really something different and maybe even an insightful look into the actual porn industry.”

Nectar plans on making an announcement regarding a cable deal for Welcome to the Valley in the near future.
