CANOGA PARK, Calif.—Nectar Entertainment has signed a deal for Pulse Distribution to exclusively distribute the entire catalog of Nectar, First Strike, and Maximus movies worldwide on DVD, broadcast and mobile formats.
“We are excited to have Pulse on board as part of the relaunch of the Nectar line of films,” said Nectar owner Charlie Zsebik. “Simply put, they are a powerhouse."
Mark Hamilton, co-owner of Pulse Distribution, added, "The quality and production value of the three Nectar lines speak for themselves. We are excited to be getting their existing product along with the new and ambitious films they have currently in production.”
Nectar plans to release new volumes from Eric Avalon's AVN award-winning Brazilian series in the coming months through Pulse, along with new Maximus titles directed by Paulo Desanto and First Strike.
Nectar Entertainment also announced it has brought Jason Heart back on board as head of development. Heart worked with Nectar under its previous owners, leaving the company in 2007.
“I’m very excited to be a part of the new Nectar team and using my knowledge of our three amazing lines of films to help bring Nectar to the next level,” Heart said. “I’m looking forward to working closely with Charlie in developing new and amazing opportunities for the company.”
Heart, 27, worked for Nectar under the previous owners for two years as production supervisor and director of sales.
“We have discussed some awesome ways of branching out the Nectar, First Strike, and Maximus lines so keep an eye out for some new and amazing things from Nectar as we go back into production on new titles for all three lines,” Heart added.
