Nectar Entertainment has signed Astrux Productions to an exclusive contract that calls for an unspecified number of titles to be released under Nectar’s 1st Strike line of wall-to-wall movies.
Sean Logan, CEO of Nectar, was pleased to welcome Astrux into the fold. “The fact that we’re locking Astrux in with an exclusive contract is a testimonial to our belief both in their abilities and their professionalism. We’ve been very impressed the quality of their work, and just as impressed with the response retailers have had for their work. We’re confident they’ll maintain their high-level of quality and probably even come to surpass our expectations as they grow.”
Astrux, otherwise known as the production and direction duo of Lenny Stiltz and Phil Martin, will develop a new reality-based series for 1st Strike and continue to create their specialty – high-end wall-to-wall videos that get straight to the sex.
“We’ve always been fans of Nectar and Marty Zion, so it’s great to have the opportunity to work with them. They like our ideas and we like their ideas and so it’s a perfect match,” Stiltz said.
Stiltz and Martin began working together on mainstream commercials before entering the adult industry four years ago. They began their careers in adult as video editors, and continue to apply lessons learned in the editing bay working on projects for Wicked Pictures, Anabolic/Diabolic and other studios, to their own projects. “As editors we learned what to do, and just as importantly what not to do. It’s a great training ground and has served us well on our own projects,” acknowledges Stiltz.
With several titles under their belt, Astrux has developed a very elemental approach to producing porn. “The key to creating porn that sells is to have hot girls. Once you have a cast of hot girls, the rest of it is a piece of cake. That’s what people want to see – hot girls having hot sex.”
Astrux Productions created two titles for 1st Strike before being offered a contract. The first, South Beach Invasion, was released in March and features a girl/girl scene with Cody Milo and Brea Bennett on top of a 1929 Mercedes and a cast that includes Penny Flame, Mia Bang, Tiffany Taylor, and Alektra Blue.
The second pre-contract Astrux-helmed title, Stick It in Deep and Watch Her Weep, which features Courtney Simpson, is due out in May.
Production is already under way for Astrux’s first project under contract, which has yet to be titled.
