Recently merged video-on-demand providers NakedSword and AEBN today announced they have signed gay Latin studio Alexander Pictures to an exclusive four-picture deal.
The network has secured exclusive rights to the studio's newest title, Poolside Heat, as well as three additional titles: Underwater, Jungle Cruisers, and The Best of Ramone Mendez. Mendez also will appear in a cross-promotional campaign on both sites to supplement the release of Poolside Heat.
"We've had a really strong relationship with Alexander Pictures for a long time," said Chris Baker, the content manager for the NakedSword-AEBN network. "These kinds of deals have only strengthened it. In the last year, I've had the chance to meet with these guys in person at events like the Gay Phoenix Forum, and they're some of the best I've dealt with."
Meanwhile, NakedSword's director of marketing, Michael Stabile, commented that, "NakedSword has always worked closely with smaller studios with great content. Our merger with AEBN allows us to combine our ability to market gay content with a worldwide distribution network. We want to use this combined power to promote studios like Alexander Pictures to a global audience."
For his part, Alexander Pictures founder and director Alexander said he couldn't be happier about the new deal and the exposure it will bring to his award-nominated films. "We're proud of all these movies," he said in a statement.
