Just after midnight on Wednesday an unidentified soft-core porn began playing on the official channel of Northern Kentucky University.
The channel, known as A-18 on campus, usually features broadcasts created by and featuring NKU students, as well as education programming broadcast to the university via satellite.
Viewers immediately began calling the university, Insight cable and the Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky when the adult movie began to play.
The movie showed female and male full frontal nudity and performers simulating sex acts.
Cable board executive director Tim Broering suggested that the satellite signals were accidentally switched.
