When you surf , Advercast continues, images and text get stored on your hard disk, creating a mirror image of your surfing experience. Your browser creates cache files and stores information on your hard disk, the company says, which leaves a trail easily read - but SurfSecret is designed to destroy the trail periodically.
It's designed for Windows and integrates with Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and America Online, and also cleans trails in such window locations as the document menu, run and find menus, and the recycle bin. And you can choose the intervals at which the application cleans up.
Other features include stealth mode and password protection to keep its operations secret.
