Mr. Marcus Featured in Black Men Magazine

Two-time AVN award-winning performer Mr. Marcus is featured in the current April/May issue of Black Men Magazine.

Marcus, who is featured in a fashion layout with adult performer India as part of the article, tells readers about the working in the industry and maintaining a relationship.

“It’s a black-oriented magazine and with two adult stars and a top fashion photographer, I thought it would be an opportunity,” he said.

As part of the magazine’s “Real Sex” issue, Marcus said he felt at ease discussing the industry and putting an end to some misconceptions about it.

“Some people have the idea that the industry isn’t safe for performers and I say that it’s a lot safer than in people’s regular lives,” he said.

“We get tested all the time and people are responsible for the most part. And I think some of these things need to be done in the rest of society to reduce STDs and HIV infections.”

A veteran of hundreds of movies, Marcus also spoke about his personal life and about his career.

“I’m married and I have a wife who’s not in the industry and when I get home from work. I’m just a dad with my kids,” he said.

“I leave work at work. I like spending time with my family and doing family things. I’m not always naked and fucking. I do other things.”

Besides talking about his life, Marcus modeled some new clothes, a pin-striped gray suit and a tan leather jacket by Ralph Lauren.

“I’m comfortable just wearing jeans, a t-shirt and a baseball cap, but I wouldn’t mind a suit a little more frequently,” he said.

Likewise, India spoke about her life in the industry and her personal life. She is now divorced and is planning to buy property in Las Vegas and Atlanta.

Meanwhile, Marcus plans to continue making movies and is now also developing a plan for a new business, dubbed Daddy Inc., aimed at making mainstream movies and music in the near future.

“I got the idea back in ’96 or ’97 when I was meeting people like Tupac (Shakur) and John Singleton and realizing that we ran in the same circles and being around those guys showed me how they handled their business,” he said.

“So I thought this is a chance to get involved in that and use some of my connections in that to do something positive and get involved in movies and music.”
