Founding MovieMountain.com manager William Idler has been promoted to vice president of retail operations for MovieMountain's parent, Freya Communications.
Idler will be monitoring and managing all facets of Freya's expanding retail operations, and that includes the company's brick-and-mortar as well as Internet operations, according to Freya chief executive officer Matthew Deak.
Deak also suggested the promotion recognizes Idler as a prime factor in their flagship MovieMountain's growth. "Bill’s operations and extensive product knowledge, combined with his leadership skills, were key drivers of our success in the implementation and phenomenal growth of… MovieMountain.com," Deak continued, crediting Idler's "strong operational experience" for helping grow MovieMountain.com into a prime adult video and DVD retailer.
In a related move, and nodding to the "continuing hallmark of our West Coast operations," Freya named Kevin Killop to manage its online retail operations, from the company's recently acquired Temecula, California facility. "Kevin inherits a great operational team that is focused on making our customers’ adult product purchasing experiences as hassle-free and efficient as possible," Deak said.
Freya Communications is also known around the industry for their MenOnTheNet.com directory of gay adult Websites, and for WomenOnTheWeb.com, a mirror of the gay directory, including its host of links and free erotic writings.
