A nationally known motivational speaker is facing child pornography charges today, according to a published report.
Police in Arkansas arrested Michael Fortino – a man who lives in Pittsburgh, Pa., but travels the world, local6.com (WKMG TV) reported.
Fortino’s website has been shut down, but a cached version of it showcases him as a motivational speaker, the report said. He was apparently in Arkansas to give one of those speeches when he was arrested.
Police said he took his laptop to Fayetteville's Best Buy for repairs. Officials said technicians called authorities after finding several images involving children engaged in sexual acts on his hard drive, according to the story.
Former President Bill Clinton once praised Fortino, and President George W. Bush has called him a role model for future generations, the report said.
